“Happy 8th Birthday, Castle Creativity”

To celebrate turning 8, we thought we’d look back at the last 8 years and explore how Castle Creativity became the company it is today.

Castle Creativity’s Story

Back in mid-2015, Luke decided to take the plunge out of the safety of a full-time job into the uncertain world of self-employment and start his own marketing agency. Luke’s aim was to offer local, growing SME’s affordable, all-round marketing support including design, web-development, digital and offline marketing and more. And so, Castle Creativity was born.

By October of that year, Castle had gained its first new client – a training provider in Sheffield who were looking to outsource some of their marketing. Over the next few months, a few more clients were on board and Castle Creativity was steadily growing and finding its feet within the marketing industry.

As more projects were completed, clients were starting to ask for bigger, more complex projects and so Luke continued his learning further and moved more in depth into the science behind digital and offline marketing, design and web development in order to meet the needs of his clients and allow Castle Creativity to compete comfortably with bigger, more established marketing agencies.

It soon became clear that, with more opportunities coming in, there was a growing need to recruit the help of another person and so Luke reached out to friend Mark, who was already working in the industry, and Mark came on board. Over the next few years, this grew to a team of four, taking on Apprentice, Corey, back in 2021 and later Kaisha in 2022.

Castle Creativity has had the opportunity to complete some amazing projects over the 8 years, with a variety of clients across many industries, local, national and international including retail, construction, finance, charities, music festivals and more. Projects have included video and image CGI, videography, website development, SEO management, branding, and so much more. Each of these projects and clients allowed the team to push its creativity and innovation further each time, broadening the scope for other opportunities in the future.

Our Clients Growth

Alongside our own growth, it’s been amazing to see the incredible growth of our clients over the time we’ve worked with them. With some starting out as a relatively small player in their industry, we’ve seen clients grow into leading providers, employing more and more staff, gaining international clients, being featured on TV for their work and holding offices in the most prestigious business districts in the world.

We’re so proud that our clients have put their trust in us to help them along their way to success, whether in a small or significant way, we’re so happy to be on this journey with each and every one of them. Our clients are so much more to us than simply ‘clients’. We’ve been so lucky to have built up great relationships with those we’ve worked with, that they’ve now become friends we just happen to work for!

Experiences

Over the years, we’ve had some fantastic opportunities to support some of the local and regional organisations in the area with a variety of projects and experiences. We’ve delivered workshops in educational environments; sponsored local sports teams and players and been able to work with some incredible charities including a donation of a brand-new website for the amazing organisation, Oldham Quiet Ones, and donations of services and money to Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, a charity very close to our hearts! We have designed art work for free for a charity performance at Edinburgh Fringe Festival which included artists such as Jason Manford, Alan Davies and Joe Lycett. Being able to support our local community means the world to us at Castle Creativity and we hope to continue this more in the future.

Castle’s Creativity’s Future

We’re so grateful for the projects and opportunities we’ve experienced over the past 8 years, and have done things we’d have never thought possible for a small marketing agency of just four people! Already for 2024 we’ve got some great projects lined up for both new and current clients and have some exciting new services in the pipeline that we hope roll out very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
