Pay-Per-Click

Digital Marketing Agency

What is PPC?

PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click and is exactly that! You create an advert and only pay when someone clicks on the ad and visits your page… simple as that. Well, pretty much!

When creating your ad, you will bid on keywords related to the business/product/service (e.g. plumber, reliable, Sheffield) and when people search for that word, yours is the page they’ll see! So you know your ads are placed nicely in front of the people you’re looking to reach.

When and who PPC works best for

PPC is the perfect digital marketing tool to use when you want your message to be seen quickly and by a lot of people. Although you might be thinking, “surely this is all the time?!”, not necessarily. PPC is best used as a short-term fast marketing method and in the long term, used in conjunction with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) so you can reach people organically too.

A few ideal times to introduce PPC to your marketing strategy:

  • You’re a new business and would like to get initial traffic to your page
  • You’re looking to grow your business and need more traffic to help with this
  • You have a limited marketing budget and want to know this will be used efficiently
  • You have a high value product / service you’d like to move fast

Benefits of PPC

  1. Cast your net wide

PPC puts your ad in front of the people already searching for what you’re offering, and done right, in front of a lot of people! Because you only pay when someone visits your page through the ad, you guarantee a higher conversion rate from your ad – perfect when working with a limited marketing budget and time.

  1. Fast turnaround

Once your ad is good to go, there’s no waiting around for it to start reaching the people you need it to. Your ad will appear straight away on Google, etc. and immediately start generating interest.

  1. No long-term tie in

Pay per click works on a monthly rolling contract, so there’s really no commitment from your end! If you find these aren’t working for you or you need to stop these for any reason, simply pause your ads and you’ll receive no more costs! You can just as easily reset these up later, with any changes you need at a later date.

  1. Your budget in your hands

You control the amount of money you spend on your ads at all times. Set a max budget per ad to ensure you always stay within your budget and control the keywords used to ensure your ad only gets seen to those actively interested!

  1. In Depth performance reporting

Get a regular report on how your ad is performing, its costs and which keywords are proving most successful. This way you can keep on top of any changes that need making before the following months roll out – no longer waste time and money on marketing that isn’t working!

  1. Boost your website traffic

Because PPC can reach a lot of people quickly, you are likely to see a significant increase of traffic to your website just as quickly. This makes it a perfect way of trying out new ads, keywords and products to see how these perform in increasing your sales and conversions.

  1. Increase sales and conversions

More website traffic by people already interested in what you’re offering equals more sales and conversions. It’s as simple as that.

  1. Pay. Per. Click.

Don’t waste your marketing budget on ads that aren’t working! You get charged each time someone clicks on your ad. That’s it. Your ad isn’t reaching anyone? You pay nothing. The end.

  1. PPC is your cheat sheet

Once you’ve chosen your keywords, PPC ads are then sent straight to the people already looking for what you’re offering. This means no longer wasting time and money getting your ad in front of people that still need convincing. Your target audience are the only ones targeted.

  1. SEO + PPC = Dream team

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and PPC compliment each other perfectly! SEO works to improve your website performance and rank on Google, etc. and PPC works to get more traffic to your website.
